Kept apart, because the law requires it

Your email address for 5 years, and your username and Google sign-in for 1 year. You can no longer sign in with them, and nothing on the site shows them.

The same goes for the IP address you used each time you voted, posted a brag or changed your profile: we keep it for 1 year after that moment, whether or not you delete your account.

We open this archive only to answer a legal request from the authorities.

Kept for 90 days, then erased

Your votes, with no name or email address, and shown nowhere. We keep them only to detect fake accounts.

The vote counts of each question don't change.

What we can't erase

The brags you already posted on social networks: only you can delete those posts.
